Workshop 1: Soft slab construction
This three-hour workshop is a deep dive into the possibilities of soft slab construction. Leave the pressure of creating a finished piece behind and immerse yourself in pure process. Nina will demo a variety of techniques for shaping, joining, and manipulating soft clay slabs. You will then have the opportunity to get your hands dirty, experiment with these methods, and discover how the clay responds. This is a unique chance to build muscle memory and creative confidence with clay, without focusing on an outcome. Perfect for beginners curious about handbuilding or experienced potters looking to refresh their foundational skills.

Workshop 8: Saggar firing with botanicals
In this workshop we will explore the ancient method of saggar firing using raw clay slip on fabric (and foil) to create the saggar. Various materials such as copper, copper sulphate, salt, organic matter and botanicals, ferric chloride, and others will be added to your pots. The pots with saggars will be fired in our raku kiln. You can bring two pots for this firing.
